about Raya
Raya Leighton has worked in Israel for many years as a senior kindergarten teacher and also as a practitioner of Alexander technique. She was trained in Israel by Samuel Nelken, the founder of the technique in Israel, and continued her post-graduate training both in Israel and in England. After trying a number of different methods of alternative medicine Raya realized the special qualities of the technique and the possibilities it provides for helping with many problems. Raya continually develops her skills by working with the leading exponents of the technique in Israel as well as by working with her patients and studying new developments.
Raya practices in Jerusalem and works both in her private clinic in a number of other clinics. She is registered with the Ministry of Defence and so she also treats disabled ex-soldiers. Over the years, Raya has worked with adults and children, including handicapped children.
